With a product defined by a unique layered construction and ultra-fine detailing, Kitestone needed a brand identity that could convey its technical edge while maintaining minimalist style.
Our task was to develop a brand that felt as refined and architectural as the product itself – sleek, intentional, and quietly confident.
A Mark of Precision
At the core of the identity is the custom Kitestone logo – a balanced interplay between monogram and type. The legs of the ‘K’ monogram, when rotated, symbolise the outer porcelain veneer and the sharp, 45-degree angled joints the product is known for. It’s a subtle nod to craftsmanship and form, wrapped into a clean visual signature.
To reflect the product’s construction, we used typographic contrast: a light font weight for “kite” represents the slim porcelain layer, while a bold weight for “stone” grounds the name in strength and durability. This visual contrast mirrors the product’s composition – and its point of difference.
A Palette That Lets the Product Speak
The chosen colour palette is understated by design. Shades of grey and beige reflect the refined tones of natural stone while allowing the material itself to shine. The system is intentionally minimalist – clean, sophisticated, and built to work across samples, swatches, packaging, and product presentations.
